AI Webmaster Studio, WordPress.org Readiness and AIWOS Cloud Direction
AI Webmaster Studio is the free WordPress plugin in the AI Webmaster project. It helps website owners build, expand and manage WordPress websites with AI-assisted content, structure, documentation and site management workflows under administrator supervision.
This roadmap explains what is being prepared now, what is planned next, and which capabilities belong to the separate future AIWOS Cloud platform.
AIWOS Cloud is not required to use AI Webmaster Studio and is not a paid unlock of the plugin.
Roadmap Principles
The AI Webmaster roadmap is guided by four principles:
- Free plugin first: AI Webmaster Studio is developed as a free WordPress plugin.
- Administrator control: AI-assisted workflows should be started, configured or reviewed by the website owner or administrator.
- Transparency: external services, API keys, data usage and AI-generated content must be clearly documented.
- Clear product separation: AIWOS Cloud is a separate future platform for autonomous website operation, not a paid unlock of the plugin.
Now
Current Focus: WordPress.org Submission Readiness
The current development focus is preparing AI Webmaster Studio for WordPress.org distribution and improving the public documentation on aiwebmaster.cloud.
„`Current priorities include:
- finalizing the plugin name, slug, text domain and public product positioning,
- preparing a clean WordPress.org submission package,
- aligning plugin headers, readme metadata, stable tag and version numbers,
- removing development-only files from production packages,
- documenting external services used by the plugin,
- documenting OpenAI API usage and user-owned API keys,
- improving security and privacy documentation,
- reviewing public pages for placeholder content, outdated wording and incorrect links,
- separating AI Webmaster Studio messaging from AIWOS Cloud messaging,
- removing PRO, Premium, paid unlock, paid tier and trialware-style language,
- making donations clearly voluntary and unrelated to feature access.
Important documentation pages currently being refined:
- Documentation Hub
- Read the Documentation
- Getting Started
- API Keys
- OpenAI API
- External Services
- Security & Privacy
- Troubleshooting
- FAQ
- Support

Next
Plugin Stabilization and Public Documentation
The next stage is focused on stabilizing the free WordPress plugin and making the public website useful for users, reviewers and early adopters.
„`Planned improvements include:
- final WordPress.org review package preparation,
- Plugin Check verification in a clean WordPress environment,
- readme validation and final WordPress.org metadata review,
- completion of screenshots and public plugin assets,
- clear setup documentation for first-time users,
- improved API key setup and troubleshooting guidance,
- better explanation of AI-generated content review,
- improved link audit and internal linking safety,
- stronger content preservation rules for visual improvement workflows,
- better handling of placeholder, short or low-quality content,
- clearer reporting after administrator-triggered AI tasks,
- more consistent English-first interface and documentation language.
The goal of this stage is not to add uncontrolled automation. The goal is to make the plugin safer, clearer, more useful and easier to review.
„`
Later
Expanded AI-Assisted WordPress Workflows
After the WordPress.org-ready foundation is stable, later development may expand the range and quality of AI-assisted workflows inside WordPress.
„`Possible later improvements include:
- more advanced content development workflows,
- better page and post planning tools,
- improved documentation generation,
- stronger internal linking recommendations,
- better orphan page analysis,
- safer visual enhancement workflows,
- more granular administrator controls,
- better task reports and review summaries,
- improved media and image prompt workflows,
- better compatibility with common WordPress themes and editors,
- expanded translation readiness while keeping English as the base language.
These improvements should remain consistent with the free plugin model. They should not introduce a PRO, Premium, paid tier or upgrade-to-unlock model.
„`
AIWOS Cloud
Separate Future Platform for Autonomous Website Operation
AIWOS Cloud stands for AI Website Operating System Cloud.
AIWOS Cloud is a separate future platform planned for autonomous website operation. It is not required to use AI Webmaster Studio and is not a paid unlock of the plugin.
„`AIWOS Cloud is planned for capabilities that go beyond the local, administrator-supervised plugin model, such as:
- full Autopilot,
- scheduled tasks,
- continuous monitoring,
- daily and weekly reports,
- Approval Center workflows,
- rollback and recovery support,
- long-term project memory,
- multi-site management,
- AI cost governance,
- policy-based autonomous operations.
The distinction is important:
- AI Webmaster Studio helps administrators work with AI inside WordPress.
- AIWOS Cloud is planned as a separate operating platform for autonomous website management.
„`
What Is Not Planned for AI Webmaster Studio
To keep the plugin clear, free and suitable for WordPress.org distribution, AI Webmaster Studio should not be positioned as:
- a limited free version of a paid product,
- a trial plugin,
- a PRO or Premium edition,
- a paid unlock system,
- a full unattended autonomous website operator,
- a replacement for the website owner or administrator,
- a legal, privacy or compliance advisor,
- a provider of free OpenAI API access
